How to Prepare for Cleaning

Most obviously, the panels that you have outside are sturdier and built to sustain ever changing weather conditions. The solution that you use should be something that is specifically used for cleaning LEDs. Don’t use anything that doesn’t have electrolytes. High-purity distilled water or anti-static liquid should work, but you can also try isopropyl alcohol diluted with water.

How to Clean Your LED Display

Now, indoor LED displays are not as sturdy as the outside ones, so you have to be gentle with the screen. The first thing that you must do is to disconnect the screens from their power source. 

Once you start cleaning, don’t apply the liquid directly to the screen. Instead, apply it to the microfiber cloth and gently clean the surface of the screen. Don’t apply pressure on it or you might end up ruining your display. Wipe the screen until you can’t notice any specks of dust anymore and the surface is clean.

As previously mentioned, with outdoor LED displays, things can be more complex. If the display is positioned at a significant altitude, then you might need a ladder, high altitude rope, or even a special machine that can elevate you to the height of the display.

Once you’ve reached your display, it’s time to start the cleaning process. You must first remove the dust with the microfiber, then start washing it with the special liquid. The same rule as before can be applied here as well. Use the liquid and a steam humidification spray and a soft brush to clean up the surface. After this, you can dry the display with a vacuum.
